Where are you located?

100 Silver Road, West Northfield, only 10 minutes from Bridgewater.

Where do you build?

Most of our work is in Lunenburg and Queen's Counties.

What experience do you have?

We've been in Business since 1985. Some employees have been with us from the start.

Do you need a deposit?

No monetary deposit is required, payment schedule will correspond with complete stages as Your lending institution requires.

Do you have WCB and insurance?

All our employees and sub trades are covered by WCB and we carry Liability Insurance. We also have our own Safety Program.

Do you offer site management?

We will look after necessary scheduling and inspections as required. You will be kept in the loop along the way.

Do you handle permits?

Yes, we can look after this for you or you can do it if you wish.

Do you have any building lots?

Although we regularly have a supply of lots, this is not always the case. If not, we may be able to help you to locate a desirable building lot.

Construction related

Do you build ICF?

No. Our basements are placed in concrete forms. The forms are removed when the concrete has cured. You can actually see the concrete to ensure the structural integrity. The exterior wall of the main levels are wood construction with 1" lumber sheathing, not OSB. Wood building materials, which are produced locally, are a renewable resource and have a lower carbon footprint than the alternative choices. Another advantage is if any changes are made during construction they can be easily be made at a much lower cost, not to mention the savings on any future renovations.

Will my home be energy efficient?

Yes. Being a R2000 builder, all our homes are constructed with the detail for air tightness and insulation detail. All our complete new homes are enrolled into "Energuide For New Homes". The insulation levels, heating options, energy usage, etc. can be adjusted to suit your budget and lifestyle.

Do I need to set up an account at the building supply store?

No. We will look after the materials and sub-contractors. We also have some materials inventoried at our warehouse.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. All our substantially completed homes are enrolled into Atlantic Home Warranty Program. We also follow their guidelines for renovations as well.

Do I need plans?

No. Although plans are an asset, if you don't have any we have on staff an estimator/ designer. We can put your ideas and sketches on paper. If you have plans that are not quite right , we can redesign those as well. We can also look after the permits or steer you in the right direction.

What is the best heat source?

Everybody has different lifestyles and preferences so one heat source being better than another is not the case. Everything will have to be factored in and together we can arrive at the best heat source for you.

General questions

Can I do some of the work myself?

Yes. We can work out an arrangement on the work you wish to do or work into the schedule any sub-trade you prefer to use.

What are the chances of cost overruns?

There will not be any overruns unless you make changes or additions. Even so, we will handle those with signed work orders so you will know the cost before change is made.

Can I visit the site during construction?

Yes, keeping in mind that it is a construction site with its hazards. Safety is of the utmost importance.

What if I have any questions or concerns along the way?

Feel free to ask, we have a staffed office that is readily available to respond to any questions or concerns. We always welcome your input.

What happens if I want to change something?

This is not a problem. Due to our construction methods most changes can easily be done. If there is an additional cost it will be handled with a Change Of Work Order so you will know the cost and any delays it may cause.

Who pays for the power during construction?

We usually do - unless there is a prior agreement.

What if I have any issues after I move in?

We are only a phone call away and we pride ourselves in our after closing service.
